Protection of Electronic Cards (PCB) Against Environmental Conditions
It is very important that our electronic devices, which have become an indispensable part of our lives due to the convenience they provide, do not fail in a short time or in unexpected situations. For this reason, electronic cards are protected from high or low temperatures, humidity, dust, vibration, etc., which cause malfunctions in a short time. must be protected from the elements.
Surface protective coating (conformal coating) are transparent protective coatings for electronic cards and circuits. This coating protects the card and the circuit elements on it against humidity, dust and corrosive environments. Extends the working life of cards.
There are various application methods to make the protective coating:
1- Spray Application
It is generally the preferred method for rework and repair or for small amount of production, which is done with the help of aerosol spray.
2- Coating with Brush
It is the application with the help of a brush, which is preferred in cases where it is desired to apply to a certain area on the card or to certain circuit elements instead of the entire card.
3- Immersion Method
It is the method applied by immersing it in a container or pool in cases where it is desired to completely cover the card and the circuit elements on it.
4- Robotic Application
It is a method made with computer-controlled application machines.
5- Coating with UV cure products
It is the method performed with ultraviolet light source, which is preferred in cases where very fast curing is required and for high volume production.
Product selection is also very important when making a protective coating. When choosing the product to be coated;
- Heat resistance,
- Resistance to chemicals and solvents,
- Desired thickness on the surface to be coated,
- Whether it offers repair or rework opportunities on the card,
- Electrical or thermal conductivity,
- You should carefully evaluate criteria such as the application method to be selected and choose the appropriate product.
As Pulsar Kimya, you can protect your electronic cards against external factors with our acrylic, epoxy, silicon-based, UV and moisture curing products, thanks to our special solutions. Some of the solutions we offer you in this regard:
